- PREMIUM SOURCE: 100% filtered pure goose fat from cage-free geese raised in southwest France.
- HEALTH BENEFITS: Rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, essential fatty acids such as Linoleic acid, and Vitamins E and K. This French goose fat also is Carb and Sodium free. Just like duck fat, goose fat is widely considered healthier than ghee, pork fat, beef tallow and many other animal fats.
- SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE: Provides deep, rich flavor and superior cooking performance at high temperatures due to its high smoke point (around 375°F or 190°C), which makes goose fat the ideal product to achieve a crispy texture without burning or darkening.
- VERSATILE CULINARY EXCELLENCE: goose fat is ideal for frying and sautéing roasted potatoes, mushrooms and veggies or for searing meats. It can also replace duck fat in French traditional specialties like duck confits and cassoulets.

DIETARY FRIENDLY: Suitable for Keto, Paleo, and Whole30 diets. Preservative-free and gluten-free.

I follow many food pages on social media and have been seeing recipes where poultry fat is used for cooking instead of oil so, I was super excited to try Straight From France All Natural Pure Goose Fat. I decided to try something easy so I cut up potatoes to roast. I followed the directions on the can and it was so easy to use. Upon opening the can, I was surprised to see it was like partially melted butter. I used about a tablespoon in a cast iron pan on the stovetop to melt. It got hot quick and my potato slices browned fast. I finished them off in the oven and topped with coarse seasalt and pepper. They were absolutely the crispiest, most delicious potatoes I ever had. I read that goose fat can have a gamey flavor but I did not notice that at all. If anything, I found it to be very neutral. The twelve ounce can is a good value because a little goes a long way and any leftover can be frozen if not used immediately. I received an incentive to write this review.
I used the duck oil to fry and crisp some egg roll wrappers. The duck oil acted as any other cooking oil would. It melted quickly and was a nice thin oil to fry the wrappers. We then topped these eggroll wrappers on vegetables for an added crunch. I could not taste any difference in the oil as far as a duck flavor goes. however I will say the price is a bit high for the size of the container. I received an incentive to write this review.
This passes the “French person” test! The typical product in France is more of a solid bar, but this version is easier to use, spread, and faster to melt. It is not too salty- and gives potatoes a nice flavor as opposed to an overwhelming flavor like bacon. We liked this on salmon, steak, and potatoes. It is shelf stable, which makes it easy to have on hand for special occasions. We loved this product! I received an incentive to write this review.
This is a very neutral oil with a high smoke point that is great for cooking and frying things with. I appreciate that this comes from France and seems like a high quality product, It doesn’t have an inherent smell to the product and seems like it’s very easy to use. I think this is something that would be useful for my kitchen. I will use this in my wok frying recipes. I received an incentive to write this review.
This goose fat came in a nice sized can which required opening with a can opener. I was surprised to see that the fat was semi-liquid when I opened the can at room temperature. I was able to pour it into a jar for storing in the fridge so it was runny enough to pour. I used it to sauté some cauliflower rice for dinner and thought it gave a great flavor. It melts quickly in the pan and smelled great while cooking. I also used it to cooked scrambled eggs in and the fat enhanced their flavor well. I had never tried cooking with goose fat before but I have been pleased with the results so far. I received an incentive to write this review.
